The Ohio primary

There seems to be confusion among voters as to whether Obama is a Muslim or a Christian. And . . . bias against either gender or race, or both, may play a factor. . .

The latest Yahoo! News 60 Minutes segment is on the Ohio primary race, and what voters in that state are thinking about the two Democratic candidates.

There are several fascinating aspects of this story. There seems to be confusion among voters as to whether Obama is a Muslim or a Christian. And in fact, that’s among the peaking search items on Yahoo! Also, it appears deeply rooted bias against either gender or race, or both, may play a factor among a significant portion of the Ohio electorate.

Yahoo! News is also running an original analysis piece from Politico’s Mike Allen, in which he discusses the very real possibility that momentum in the Texas and Ohio primaries may have shifted towards Clinton. Allen bases his claims on polls and Yahoo! search statistics, among other factors.

In fact, on our own Yahoo! News 60 Minutes online poll about whether Obama or Clinton will win Ohio, we have a statistical tie. This will be an interesting election day, indeed.
